About The Opportunity
SVG is seeking an awesome account coordinator for a full time contract position. The ideal candidate will have a background in communications or client services and have a passion for video (because that’s what we do). Personality and a positive attitude are a must.
The candidate must be organized, highly motivated, creative and work well with others. You will be working closely with our creative director and have the opportunity to play a significant role in all aspects of production including creative ideation, planning, production, post-production and account management.
The most important quality in this candidate is strong communications skills (written, verbal and in person). Finally, you are someone that likes to create. In addition to helping us make awesome content for clients, you will manage our social channels to tell the SVG story to the world. Written, videos, images etc…
Education
University degree or college diploma in a Communications, Public relations or Marketing program preferred. Recent grads welcome.
Job Responsibilities
Manage client relations, expectations, and projects with support from Creative Director
Assist in the creative development of new projects/business opportunities
Research and identify new approaches to video content for brands
Provide support in coordinating a range of client projects and tasks including:
– Coordinating logistics for shoot days (schedules, locations, meals)
– Source any and all products/items required for shoots
– Identify suppliers and obtain quotes for any necessary items
Working with Creative Director, draft cost estimates/quotes for new projects
Develop pitch decks using PowerPoint to visualize creative approach for new projects
Manage all agency social media accounts and have a working knowledge of digital growth (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
Write blog posts based on industry trends to boost search engine rankings (SEO experience an asset)
Act as a production assistant on-set and provide support to Director
Perform all other duties as required
Skills/abilities
Excellent written and spoken communication skills with a knack for problem solving
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic/intermediate knowledge with Adobe Suite (specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere – knowledge of Final Cut also an asset)
Experience with WordPress/SEO tools considered an asset
An “eye” for cinematic ability to assist in building creative roster
Strong creative ability – ability to think outside of the box and be a self starter
Show initiative and think like an entrepreneur
Ability to innovate and challenge the status quo of traditional corporate video/branded content
Personal vehicle for transportation considered a strong asset
